We’re glad you’re thinking about joining us! Our league is the Denton County branch of the American Poolplayers Association, which utilizes an “equalizer” handicap and scoring system, so everyone from beginners to advanced players can compete! For more information on the APA, including rules and membership benefits, visit the national website at Poolplayers.com. Otherwise, check out the details below, and contact us if you’re interested in joining!
League Details
— Each week, teams compete in a choice of 8-ball, 9-ball, Double Jeopardy, Scotch Doubles, Ladies and Masters leagues. See host locations and league nights >
— Teams compete each season to play in the Denton County APA Championships. The county champions in each of our leagues then go on to compete at the APA National Championships in Las Vegas–for free. In 2016, that totalled 46 players! See our Vegas Championship Archive >
–There are additional chances to win Vegas trips, cash prizes, and trophies in local tournament play and drawings throughout the season.
–Trips and prizes aside, league play is fun! It’s a great way to get out of the house, meet people, and play pool!
